Teoda Halcón, nicknamed the "Holy Child", was a woman who participated in the Torneo Secreto. She had the ability to see the future and past via an angel, much like Lucrecia de León. Also like Lucrecia, she was condemned for her visions and locked in a cell in Toledo by the Inquisition for heresy. Sentenced to death, Teoda was prepared to die burning alive. Before the Inquisitors were able to kill her, Luzia Cotado, another participant in the Torneo, was sent to the same cell on a similar charge. Together, Luzia and Teoda attempted an escape. With the help of her brother—Ovidio—from the outside, Teoda was able to escape, but Luzia was captured and Ovidio was killed.
During the Torneo Secreto, Teoda pretended to be a little girl. Although she was thirty-eight in reality, she looked and sounded like a young child. Her brother would act as her father to make the act more believable. Torneo participant Fortún Donadei was able to figure this out on his own, but Luzia needed Teoda's guidance to understand her trickery.
