Víctor de Paredes was a member of the De Paredes family and was known as the luckiest man in Spain. His luck came from the immortal familiar under his employ, Guillén Santángel, who was cursed to forever serve the De Parades family and thus made each De Parades the luckiest man alive. Víctor was the patron of Catalina de Castro de Oro and had a secret affair with her. He became a Duke of Spain after the Torneo Secreto, but Santángel broke free of his curse to the De Paredes family and Víctor's status soon fell because of this. He was unable to make choices, afraid of it being an unlucky one, and soon his wife left him with their newborn baby. Víctor eventually died alone in his bed.
